History
Former Marubeni Plax Corporation
| December 1975 | Separated from Marubeni Corporation and became independent, focusing on synthetic resin products and building materials. Established Marubeni Plastic Products Co., Ltd., the predecessor of our company. Capital: 100 million yen. |
| April 1991 | Company name changed to Marubeni Plax Corporation |
| April 1992 | Marubeni spun off its light packaging resin and product division to establish Marubeni Planet Co., Ltd.. |
| April 1994 | Marubeni spun off its engineering plastics business to establish Marubeni Toplas Co., Ltd. |
| April 1997 | Former Marubeni Plax, Marubeni Planet, and Marubeni Toplas merged to form the new Marubeni Plax Corporation. At the same time, capital was increased to 390 million yen |

Former Marubeni Chemix Corporation
| July 1987 | Marubeni Chemical was established through the separation of Marubeni’s organic solvents and chemical products businesses. At the same time, Marubeni Chemical Osaka was established to oversee operations in western Japan. |
| October 1991 | Marubeni Chemical Osaka was merged into Marubeni Chemical, with Marubeni Chemical as the surviving entity. |
| December 1992 | Marubeni acquired Finechem Tateyama, a company handling pharmaceutical raw materials, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. |
| April 1993 | The company name was changed to Marubeni Finechem. |
| April 1997 | To strengthen the Marubeni Group’s chemical business, Marubeni Chemical and Marubeni Finechem merged, and the company name was changed to Marubeni Chemix. |
